Please my brothers and sisters do not any longer fight, debate, argue, shout at, kill, etc., each other—that is exactly what Satan wants... Take any and all perceived controversy to Yah!
Scripture speaks of six major covenants that our Father and Creator Yah made with humans. These are formal, binding agreements or promises initiated by Yah, involving humanity as a whole, or involving specific people like the nation of Israel. These covenants form the backbone of the biblical story, progressively revealing Yah’s redemptive plan from creation through to the coming of our Messiah Yahusha.
Some are unconditional (Yah’s promises depend only on His faithfulness), while others are conditional (involving human obedience).
Below is a list of the primary covenants:
1. Adamic (or Edenic/Creation) Covenant—with Adam and Eve—humanity in general.
Scriptures: Genesis 1:26–30; 2:16–17 (pre-fall); Genesis 3:14–19—post-fall consequences and promise.
Summary: Yah grants humanity dominion over creation and instructs them to be fruitful, subdue the earth, and specifically not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. After their fall into sin, Yah pronounces curses, but also gives the first promise of redemption—the “offspring of the woman” who will crush the serpent as per Genesis 3:15.
2. Noahic Covenant—with Noah, Noah's family, and all living creatures (humanity and creation in general).
Scriptures: Genesis 6:18; 8:20–9:17.
Summary: After the flood, Yah unconditionally promises to never again to destroy all life on earth with a flood. The rainbow is given as the sign and reaffirms humanity’s role in creation while preserving the world for Yah’s redemptive purposes.
3. Abrahamic Covenant—with Abraham, and Abraham's descendants, eventually all nations.
Scriptures: Genesis 12:1–3; 15:1–21; 17:1–14; 22:15–18.
Summary: Yah promises Abraham land (Canaan), numerous descendants who will become a great nation, and blessing to all families of the earth through his offspring (pointing forward to our Messiah). It is largely unconditional, ratified by Yah’s oath, with physical circumcision as a sign.
4. Mosaic (Sinai) Covenant—with the Nation of Israel via Moses.
Scriptures: Exodus 19–24 (especially 19:5–6 and 24:8); Deuteronomy 29-30 (renewal and expansion).
Summary: At Mount Sinai after the Exodus from Egypt, Yah makes Israel His “treasured possession,” “kingdom of priests,” and “holy nation” if they obey His law. It is conditional—blessings for obedience, curses for disobedience, and includes the sacrificial system for atonement of sin. This builds on the Abrahamic promises and highlights Israel’s need for a Savior.
5. Davidic Covenant—with King David and his descendants.
Scriptures: 2 Samuel 7:8–16; Psalm 89:3–4, 19–37 (explicitly called a covenant).
Summary: Yah promises David an eternal dynasty, throne, and kingdom. A descendant of David will rule forever (ultimately fulfilled in Yahusha as our Messiah-King).
6. New Covenant—initially with the houses (or nations) of Israel and Judah, ultimately extended to all who believe in and follow Yahusha.
Scriptures: Jeremiah 31:31–34; Ezekiel 36:26–28; fulfilled in the New Testament (Luke 22:20; Hebrews 8:6–13; 9:15; 2 Corinthians 3:6).
Summary: Prophesied in the Old Testament and established by Yahusha’s blood at his crucifixion, this everlasting covenant writes Yah’s law on hearts, provides complete forgiveness of sins, and creates an intimate “I will be their Yah, they will be my people” relationship. It fulfills and surpasses the previous animal sacrifice covenants through Yahusha’s perfect obedience and sacrifice.
These covenants build on one another. The Noahic preserves the world, the Abrahamic initiates redemption and nationhood, the Mosaic organizes Israel as Yah’s witness, the Davidic points to our eternal King, and the New Covenant fulfills them all in Yahusha. The entire Bible can be understood through this covenantal framework, showing Yah’s faithfulness despite continual human failure.
Our Creator knows intimately each human being that has ever lived, is living, or will live—whether we know that fact or not—and whether we consciously choose and earnestly desire to be close with Him as well, or not. It is my fervent prayer my brothers and sisters that everyone currently not sincerely choosing our Creator (and not Satan) and following our Creator's Son—our Messiah—wakes up and begins today in this very moment forever! Our Messiah is returning very soon.
